“How does one explain combat trauma to small children whose hearts are already hurting?” – Jocelyn Green

In answer to her own question, Jocelyn wrote,“‘My Hero’s Home!!’ is an inviting, easy-to-use tool full of stories, cartoons, activities, and more, all designed to gently guide and encourage young children whose parents may have combat trauma. Invaluable.” Jocelyn is the author of “Faith Deployed: Daily Encouragement for Military Wives” and co-author of “The 5 Love Languages Military Edition” (with Dr. Gary Chapman).

“Please get us something to help the children; they’re getting lost.”

This was the cry of chaplains from all branches of service when Cru Military asked, “How can we help you?” With a passion to help military children, Sherry Barron, used her experience as a military wife, mother, educator and author to write this new series of books for children whose parents may have combat trauma. Christ-centered, positive and practical tools and information are creatively set in the age-appropriate books. All three books are enriched with illustrations by animator and storyteller, Nick Adducci (BangarangAnimation.com). Each book in the series follows the topical structure of the highly praised book “When War Comes Home” by Chris and Rahnella Adsit and Marshéle Carter Waddell.
