Cru Military Announces New National Directors

Posted in: Stories

With joy and excitement, we announce God’s provision of our new National Directors.

Through an extensive search and interview process, covered in prayer, that considered outstanding candidates, our search team came to a unanimous decision.

In the spirit of excellence set by a notable line of previous National Directors in Cru Military®, Colonel Ronald (Ron) Rallis, USAR (Ret), and his wife Sherry have answered the call to serve together as National Directors.

Ron retired from the US Army Reserves after a distinguished career in the Army JAG Corps, including deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Sherry was an Army brat, an Army spouse, and served as an Army Mom. Together, they spent more than 30 years serving those wearing our nation’s uniform in a multitude of capacities.

Ron holds several degrees in both theology and law, including a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Arts (MA) in Christian Ministry: Congregational Leadership. Sherry holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration.

Together, they maintained a law practice in southern California while serving alongside each other in extensive family readiness capacities in the Army Reserves; the resulting awards and commendations are too many to list here. Most recently, Ron served as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Piedmont, South Carolina, from September 2020 to January 2023.

Ron and Sherry have five children and two grandchildren, reside in Piedmont, SC, and are celebrating 46 years of marriage and 50 years of affiliation with Cru. They are eager to begin this new season of continuing to serve the Lord and the military community as our National Directors.

Please join in praying for our new National Directors, Ron and Sherry Rallis.
