Ministry Expansion work in Chad

Posted in: International

We heard from our dear brother, Marc Toingar (Military Ministry Director, Chad) who recently returned from a very fruitful outreach in the “back-country” to forward-deployed Chadian soldiers to N’Djamenta, Chad.

Despite the many difficulties encountered in order to travel to the outskirts of this remote duty station, he was met with a group of 59 soldiers showing gratitude for the extra effort it took to reach out to them. Of the 59 dedicated military personnel stationed near the border, when presented with the Gospel message, 40 soldiers realized their need and surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

One of the soldiers approached Marc as he was getting ready to leave and said,

“You suffer so much for us, walking so far just so you could tell us about Jesus. Can I at least give you this cup of tea and what little money I have?” Marc replied, “How can I take these things? The Good News about Jesus cost Him his life, but it is free to you!”

He then gave the grateful soldier a New Testament before making the long trek back home.  The soldiers were ready to hear about the Good News and Marc was willing to meet them where they were.
