Pressing on to the Goal

Posted in: Newsletter

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 3:14

It was just over a year ago that we determined to exponentially expand our outreach for Jesus all around the world.  It was if the words of Isaiah 6:8 had been written just for us:

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”

We knew that even with much prayer and God’s grace, the challenges would be great! But we also knew just like a tiny mustard seed – if we planted it and reached out in faith, we would see a miraculous outpouring of his Spirit.

So, after a great amount of prayer, we developed a five-year strategic plan, setting specific goals in each of five key areas to be met by the year 2023. Understanding that we can’t do it alone, we must rely on partners, like you, that God sends us. Our most ambitious goal was to acquire 2,500 new volunteers worldwide to help share the message of Christ. And God is already blessing this plan tremendously!

In the first quarter of 2019 alone, we have already recruited 635 committed volunteers in multiple regions around the world.

It is through these volunteers that we will reach our ultimate goal of winning people to Christ!

Since January, we’ve seen over 3,500 people turn their lives over to Jesus!

From the U.S., to Chad and everywhere in between, people in the armed forces are learning of the freedom they can have in Christ.

Right here at home our powerful God is doing amazing things throughout our military forces:

  • Nearly 80 Air Force Academy cadets attended a Winter Retreat held in January. Several of them brought unsaved classmates and used the opportunity to have spiritual conversations about Jesus and their need for a Savior.
  • Ministry leaders at the U.S. Air Force Academy took 10 cadets on a mission trip to Ukraine where they partnered with Cru Military missionaries in sharing the gospel with Ukrainian military cadets and college students.
  • Over 1,500 new Army and Airforce trainees gave their lives to Christ through our ministries at Lackland AFB and Fort Leonard Wood.
  • Ft. Jackson received approval to begin Cru Military Bible Studies in the 193rd Brigade, given us nearly 100% coverage for Ft. Jackson Basic Training.

These are just a few of the amazing results we’re already seeing because of God’s grace and mercy. Thank you for being a partner in this special approach in spreading the love of Jesus throughout our global military community!

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.  -Proverbs 16:9
