Cru Military recognizes that stepfamilies in the military face challenges beyond those normally faced by military families. The resources developed by Todd and Tammy Gangl are just for you!
Todd and Tammy Gangl, creators and hosts of the Stepfamily Bootcamp seminar, write:
Military stepfamilies face unique stressors. We call these stressors the 3D’s of Demands, Distance, and Deployment. Combine these stressors with a rigid military lifestyle and you have a unique and challenging environment in which to try to blend a family.
Until now, there have been no definitive helps for either blended families struggling with these challenges of military life or the chapels and churches wanting to assist them. But now The Military Ready Stepfamily offers practical help for military stepfamilies and hands-on training for the military community through the STEPFAMILY BOOTCAMP seminar! This one-of-a-kind seminar is a whole family experience, inviting the military member and their spouse—along with all of their children over the age of 11—to attend. Together. The seminar openly and honestly addresses what it takes to be a healthy military stepfamily today through a humorous military-style Bootcamp experience combining multi-media presentations, audience participation, family role-playing, and even a stepfamily oath of office! The family leaves the seminar with a plan tailored to their specific needs.
