Cru Military Advent

Ecuador and around the world

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  –Philippians 1:3-6

When the Apostle Paul wrote these words in his epistle to those diligent saints of the early church in need of encouragement, it’s not surprising that he joined together the ideas of thankfulness, prayers and partnership…all vital aspects of our worldwide ministry to the military community. There’s no better example of this “trinity of grace” than what the LORD is allowing us to experience in our partnership with Him in Latin America, specifically in the nation of Ecuador.

Brigadier General (Ret.) Rodolfo and Eva Interiano, our Cru Military Directors for Latin America, experienced the “power of partnership” in ministry during their last trip to Ecuador.  They joined with Ramiro and Lilian Cazar (Military Ministry Ecuador Directors) who have been faithfully serving the military and police in Ecuador for over ten years in this strategic Latin American nation.  Together, these dedicated couples partnered with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ International) in Ecuador, along with our staff and volunteers in and around Quito to conduct numerous evangelistic outreaches. Over 600 officers and cadets of the Army, Navy and Air Forces were exposed to the gospel and over 400 responded to receive the LORD! Now that’s some powerful partnership!!!

During their Spiritual Multiplication Seminar, 16 uniformed Christians were trained and these were the same “new volunteers” used by the Ecuador City team to reach out during two of the evangelism talks. The “Interianos” shared that one of the most encouraging aspects of their work was having such passionate and faithful partners on the City Team in Quito to provide great follow-up and discipleship instruction for these new followers of Christ .

Partnering together with staff and volunteers is just one powerful tool the LORD is allowing us to “WIN – BUILD – SEND” more military members and their families in Latin America…and around the world.   We encourage you to visit our International page to learn about our international work, discipleship resources and how YOU too can make a difference where you are, with what you have, by doing what you can with us.
